In my most recent role as a Senior UX Design Strategist in the healthcare industry, I applied design thinking to enhance digital platforms for both external consumer interactions and internal enterprise products.
My Journey in UX Design
Entering the realm of UX design in 2013 marked a pivotal decision, leading me to enroll in an extensive UX Design program at General Assembly. This program uniquely combined my skills in brand development, marketing, and design with the principles of UX design. Prior to my UX journey, I spent six years in brand marketing for a media company, refining my expertise in digital advertising and marketing, targeting key demographics for a national cable network.

Before joining the healthcare sector, I served as the Experience Design Manager in the telecommunications industry, leveraging design thinking for digital platforms and consumer-facing products. Prior to that, I collaborated with a wireless carrier, contributing to their in-house digital brand creative studio team. Here, I crafted compelling design experiences for their e-Commerce website and apps.

My dedication to UXD extends beyond professional roles—I've had the gratifying experience of teaching an 8-week beginners' course to entrepreneurs, introducing them to essential UXD concepts. Witnessing students apply UX design principles to their digital products has been immensely fulfilling. Additionally, my stint at Brightline TV as an Interactive Designer involved working on business development mocks for sales and creating interactive advertising experiences on OTT platforms such as Roku, Apple TV, and Samsung.

In my freelance consultant roles, I've collaborated on diverse design projects, emphasizing a UX strategy that balances stakeholder requirements with user needs across various digital platforms. My approach involves thorough research, interviews, and competitive/comparative analysis to uncover opportunities for enhancing performance based on user behavior. By translating findings into engaging prototypes, I facilitate seamless collaboration across teams before handing off workflows to developers.

Beyond the realm of design, I enjoy dedicating quality time to my rescue dogs and expanding my knowledge through YouTube tutorials, spanning topics from cooking to UX design. This diverse background and passion for continuous learning uniquely shape my holistic approach to UX design.
