Kickstart your journey into the dynamic realm of UX design with UXTorial's Mentor-Led introduction, Beginners UX Design Workshop. This workshop is designed to equip you with essential skills and knowledge in user experience, ensuring a solid foundation during the discovery process of the UX Research phase.

What you'll learn in the 3-Day workshop:

  • Principles of User-Centered Design: Grasp the fundamental concepts and methodologies that underpin user-centered design, laying the groundwork for creating impactful and user-friendly digital experiences.

  • Introduction to Design Thinking: Dive into the iterative and collaborative process of design thinking, fostering a mindset that empowers you to approach complex problems with creativity and empathy.

  • Hands-On Prototyping: Gain practical experience in translating design concepts into tangible prototypes, honing your ability to bring ideas to life through interactive and user-tested interfaces.

Day 1: Friday, April 26 (7:00p EST - 9:00p EST)

Introduction to UX Design

You will learn research techniques and develop strategies enabling you to make informed design decisions rooted in the initial design research phase.

  • Utilize the discovery process to collect user information and establish a solid foundation for a client project.

  • Assess the market and analyze competitors.

Day 2: Saturday, April 27 (4:00p EST - 6:00p EST)

Explore UX methods and techniques 

This exploration will encompass research methods and strategies for considering diverse user types to inform effective design decisions.

  • User interviews

  • Contextual inquiries

  • Personas

  • Affinity mapping

Day 3: Sunday, April 28 (4:00p EST - 6:00p EST)

Validating Findings

User experience design involves planning and guiding product development to solve real problems for people. This part of the workshop will equip you with basic tools to evaluate your findings. Some tools like exploratory interviewing and user testing aid in identifying and validating solutions. Additionally, tools involving low wireframes will be created in Figma.
